After spending the last 28 years championing issues related to immigration, affordable housing, education, employment, women’s rights, and health access, Marleine Bastien is running for U.S. House District 17. The district’s current representative, Congressman Kendrick Meek, is a candidate for U.S. Senate.
“Over the years, I’ve followed advocacy with tangible services to give families not only a voice, but a better quality of life in our corner of South Florida. Now I’m ready to continue my services on your behalf on a much larger scale, as your Representative in Congress. I understand the challenges facing our district today; I know that we need to break the cycle, come up with fresh ideas and bring in new leadership. I am ready to meet that challenge!”
